The big discovery of the Sziget Festival 2007 was for me IAMX. Extraordinary voice of Chris Corner (British charming guy from former Sneaker Pimps)…perfect showman with the most dandy look I have seen in a long time…minha galera took our hands and said ”u have to see this”…we did and it was great!

I don’t know yet if I like it or not…My doubts are that this band is too commercial and sort of linkin’ park dramatic…they do have some electro sounds that I liked…So, I let the audience judge…Bulgarian band that started (2001) with a project to create soundtracks for computer games and then they decided to stick to music…

Black Box Recorder are a British pop/indie group. They debuted in 1998 with England Made Me, a collection of lyrically sophisticated pop tunes. Musically, the group are influenced by trip-hop, ambient music, and French electronic groups such as Air. However the lyrics to these lush and romantic melodies are frequently bleak, ironic or sarcastic.

It’s been a while since my last post so, with no further ado, let me put some fruit onto this cake.  Enjoy!

Floating (Jape is Grape EP)

Jape is the alter-ego of Redneck Manifesto member Richie Egan. Hailing from Crumlin, Dublin 12, he purveys an electronica-heavy music tinged with ‘stoner folk’. Jape’s most renowned song ‘Floating’ has been covered by The Raconteurs and The Mighty Stef, to name a few. His debut album ‘Cosmosphere’ was released in 2003 (Volta Records), followed by 2004’s ‘The Monkeys In The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me’ (Trust Me I’m A Thief). Having recently signed with V2 Records (9th May 2007), a third effort is due this year with new material having been debuted live in recent shows. His debut at the SXSW festival in Texas this year (2007) has added much hype and excitement to the future prospects of Jape’s career.
