dreadzone

December 4, 2008

Clever mix of music (eclectic fusion of dub, raggae, techno, trance and folk) coming from London (the band was formed in 1993).  With very unusual samples, their sound evolves from album to album, so check some new stuff too…and i bet they are great live too…

Gravirty Co

September 12, 2008

I don’t know yet if I like it or not…My doubts are that this band is too commercial and sort of linkin’ park dramatic…they do have some electro sounds that I liked…So, I let the audience judge…Bulgarian band that started (2001) with a project to create soundtracks for computer games and then they decided to stick to music…

Black Box Recorder – Child psychology

August 21, 2008

Black Box Recorder are a British pop/indie group. They debuted in 1998 with England Made Me, a collection of lyrically sophisticated pop tunes. Musically, the group are influenced by trip-hop, ambient music, and French electronic groups such as Air. However the lyrics to these lush and romantic melodies are frequently bleak, ironic or sarcastic.

Dälek

August 13, 2008

Dälek (pronounced ‘Die-a-leck’) is an experimental hip hop duo from Newark, NJ. The group comprises MC Dälek (vocals) and the Oktopus (production). They have often toured with artists from radically different genres, such as Godflesh, Isis, Prince Paul, The Melvins, De La Soul, and Lovage. Dälek’s music is dark, noisy and atmospheric, equally inspired by industrial music like Einstürzende Neubauten (the band of Blixa Bargeld), the layered noise of My Bloody Valentine and the dense sound collages of Public Enemy. Their sound is often constructed through sampling and a musical base atypical of most hip-hop, making it difficult for people to classify their sound. They have been described as trip-hop, glitch-hop, and metal- shoegaze-hip-hop, as well as criticized for their broad range of sound.

Aprop (Close)

August 7, 2008

Sleep becomes interrupted by the familiar touch of another body. A finger brushes across a back as a sigh sends the invitation for play. When viewed closely, everyday body movements are an extraordinary dance.

The music score is composed by Chalart58, an artist of Radiochango (we know them from the colaboration with Manu Chao. The movie is directed by Aitor Echeverría (born 1977 in Barcelona),. Carolina Alejos and Silvia Marín are playing in this movie.

Juliette and The Licks – Hot Kiss

July 28, 2008

Juliette and the Licks is an American rock band led by actress Juliette Lewis. She is one of my favorite women artists.
She is talented, energetic, she has a voice to kill and the looks to match it!
Juliette and the Licks released their first EP Like a Bolt of Lightning, in 2004, which was shortly followed by the release of their debut album You’re Speaking My Language.
Their second album Four on the Floor, was released in late 2006. “Hot Kiss” which was one of the Licks’ most successful singles, was the first release off of the album.
