The BPA ft David Byrne & Dizzee Rascal

July 19, 2008

This video for The Brighton Port Authority (the new project from Brighton-based dance musician and producer Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim) which features UK grime artist Dizzee Rascal, has all the right ingredients to be described as discorgiastic. Don’t believe me – judge for yourself.

Tunderheist

Finally some folks who realized that jerking a cock is no more sinful than any other Saturday evening Christian entertainment form. I give you Thunderheist with their trashy ‘Jerk it’ video. :D

Nicola Conte presents Rosalia de Souza. I bet most of you already know of the two artists, but I had to make sure the bossa nova lovers among you didn’t miss this collaboration.

Deep Dive Corporation

Laugh

Deep Dive Corp. was formed in 1999 in Hamburg/Germany. The driving force and featured guitarist of the band is Peter Musebrink, backed up by Björn Gerhard. To this date DDC has released 6 albums. You won’t regret it if you check them out. Unfortunately there is almost no official video material to cover this band. The featured video is a live act at Gap club in Klagenfurt, Austria from 2006. I believe the audio track is not in sync with the video material for audio quality reasons (the original audio has been replaced with the actual album track) but it’s a compromise I had to make to bring DDC @ D I S C O R G Y.

JAPE

July 19, 2008

It’s been a while since my last post so, with no further ado, let me put some fruit onto this cake.  Enjoy!

Floating (Jape is Grape EP)

Jape is the alter-ego of Redneck Manifesto member Richie Egan. Hailing from Crumlin, Dublin 12, he purveys an electronica-heavy music tinged with ‘stoner folk’. Jape’s most renowned song ‘Floating’ has been covered by The Raconteurs and The Mighty Stef, to name a few. His debut album ‘Cosmosphere’ was released in 2003 (Volta Records), followed by 2004’s ‘The Monkeys In The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me’ (Trust Me I’m A Thief). Having recently signed with V2 Records (9th May 2007), a third effort is due this year with new material having been debuted live in recent shows. His debut at the SXSW festival in Texas this year (2007) has added much hype and excitement to the future prospects of Jape’s career.

Thanks to minha galera and gorette for pointing them out to me. I guess this should have been posted by one of them but, for some reason, that didn’t happen.
